Vincent Pinto
Mouth of the Gowanus Canal
(Red Hook, Brooklyn) watercolor, 14x20
(watercolor sold)

This soaring and congested view of the Canal and Hamilton Avenue, and the F train overpass, gives proof in iron and steel of the commercial importance of Erie Basin in the past. The docksides and narrow waterway were probably as busy with traffic as any Manhattan street.
The watercolor original has been sold, but a same size giclee print is available .
